Absolutely adorable and just a bit shy of 30 lbs, Edward Cullen is an inquisitive, gentle 8-month old pup with the softest coat and the most expressive eyes that seem to sparkle with playful mischief.
This energetic little guy loves nothing more than frolicking outdoors, his tail wagging with pure joy as he romps around trying to make friends with the neighbor's cat and chickens - though after a gentle bop on the nose from an indoor kitty, he's learned his lesson about getting too close!
But don't let his puppy antics fool you; once he's back inside, Edward transforms into the perfect gentleman, quiet as a mouse and content to curl up in his cozy crate surrounded by soft blankets and favorite toys.
He's a quick learner too, already mastering the "sit" command and taking treats with the utmost delicacy. Edward's an equal opportunity snuggler, rolling over to offer his belly to anyone willing to give him rubs, and he gets along splendidly with other dogs and kids.
While he may still be working up the courage to venture past the entryway indoors, outside he's a regular watchdog, alerting to any chickens, cats, vultures or neighboring dogs that catch his eye. But above all, Edward is a sweet, gentle soul just waiting to shower his forever family with unconditional love and puppy kisses galore!

The Bastrop Animal Control organization became a reality in 1998. We've grown since then and continue to do so as Bastrop County grows. Currently, we have 3 separate buildings containing a total of 90 large indoor/outdoor kennels and 8 play yards. We have 30 indoor cat kennels. We also have a 3 room cattery, that enables cats to live together in colony type environments until they find their forever home. If you have ever worked with or adopted a shelter pet, you know just how much they crave the attention and love we and our volunteers can provide and their eternal gratitude when they find their forever home at last.
