Here's what the humans have to say about me:
ABOUT CHOUPIC
Husky lovers, meet your new pup! Choupic is a 4-month-old Husky mix, who could not be more accurate to the breed. This handsome little guy came to HAP from a high-intake shelter partner when they no longer had space for him. We'll be honest, Choupic is a vocal, sometimes stubborn, always playful, and overall energetic pup. However, once his energy is out, he is quick to melt in your lap for snuggles. Choupic is also one smart boy, picking up new commands super easily, as he is very food and toy motivated to learn! He already knows 'sit', 'down', and 'stay'. We are working on 'paw', 'other paw', and 'leave-it'. The most important thing to know about this pup, which is very true to Husky nature, is he is most obedient and loyal to people he bonds with! Choupic is very eager to please his friends, though he may push your buttons at first! He can be jumpy or mouthy with new people, as he is still teething and learning basic manners. However, he is easily redirected with treats or a toy! Choupic enjoys playing with other dogs and quick to let out a bark or whine when he needs a break from our more rough and tumble pups!
If you are interested in adopting this dog, please submit an adoption questionnaire! Our adoption process is on a first-come, best-match basis and we are not able to hold animals. If you are interested in this specific dog but it ends up not being the best fit upon meeting, our adoption counselors will work with you to help find a match! All household members, including children and other dogs, must come along for the meeting to make sure it's a good fit. If a match is made, we encourage same-day adoptions! Our adoption fees include the animals' spay/neuter, microchip, age-appropriate vaccinations and preventatives, fecal testing, heartworm testing, and a small bag of food to get you started.
