My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

What my friends at ACC say about me:

My history is a mystery and my friends here do not know much about me yet!

It is unknown if I have ever lived with other animals or children.

I am looking for a home with a patient person.

I can be slow to adjust to new environments. I prefer to take things at my own pace.

I will flourish in a calm environment and a low-traffic home.

I would appreciate slow introductions to new people and places to help me feel safe.

I would do best in a home with only adult humans.

I'm sensitive and shy. I'll need extra help from you.

A volunteer writes: We'd love for every kitty to shine in the shelter, but shelter life isn't for everyone. This is especially true for those among us searching for a quiet place to gather our thoughts. Catalie Portman's a very relatable girl who likes to take some time to herself before she says hello. That is, if she feels like saying hello. As we've learned, she might not want to. We don't know that much about Catalie Portman but it seems like she hasn't had too many opportunities to meet new people, which makes requisite shelter socialization a pretty substantial challenge. Catalie's not sure what to make of all the people coming and going and tries heartbreakingly hard to find a safe space for herself when visitors come by. Sometimes she'll take a step back to get some space or hiss to let you know you've come too close. Catalie is curious about her surroundings and though she may not want to cuddle or accept treats, she has a lot of friendship and love to offer.
