This adorable munchkin is Maximus! He arrived at the shelter as a lost boy on 12/6, and sadly, no one has come to reclaim him. Maximus is now looking for a new, forever home where he will be loved and kept safe so that he never ends up back in the shelter. The volunteers describe Maximus as friendly and loving. He is a well-behaved little guy; he's quiet in his kennel and he walks nicely on leash! If you're looking for a small, cute, new BFF to dote on please come meet Maximus!
Maximus is approximately 2 years old, and he weighs 16 lbs. He is UTD on vaccines, and he will be neutered and microchipped upon adoption. Unfortunately, Maximus did test positive for heartworms, but with proper care and treatment, he can go on to live a long and healthy life. Please speak with shelter staff about the option of fostering to adopt while he receives his treatment. Maximus is waiting patiently in kennel 322; his ID # is 6691.

Cobb County Animal Services was established in 1971. As part of Cobb's Department of Public Safety, we serve the entire county, protecting the residents and animals of Cobb.
The mission of the Cobb County Animal Services Unit is to enforce state laws and county ordinances pertaining to animal control and management; educate the community on responsible pet ownership and wildlife care and provide housing and care for homeless animals, while coordinating their adoptions when possible and humane euthanization when adoptions are not possible.
