My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Ladybug is an 8-year-old black lab mix with a heart full of love. She came to us after her owner passed away and previously lived with her companions, Little Bit and Thor.

Ladybug is good with other dogs and has passed initial cat testing. She is a sweet, gentle soul who enjoys taking her time and moseying about. She’s ready for a new home where she can relax and be cherished.

Adoption applications can be submitted at ITVrescue.org.

All of our dogs are examined by a veterinarian, given age-appropriate vaccinations, dewormed, microchipped, spayed or neutered, heartworm tested and treated if necessary.

We require all adopters to complete an application and pay an adoption fee. Adoption fees vary, but are usually $160 to $185. We may do a vet reference check and/or home visit.

It Takes A Village Rescue, Inc. is a non-kill 501(c)(3) rescue dedicated to doing what it takes to find loving homes for stray, abandoned, and surrendered animals, and to keep these animals safe and free from further suffering. Our mission is "To work as one in helping homeless animals irrespective of breed, location or circumstance." By working with committed volunteers, foster homes, veterinarians and partner rescues or shelters, we are able to rescue countless animals every year and provide them with loving temporary care as we work to find them well-matched forever homes. Although we do not discriminate based on breed, size or color, we have a particular interest in bully breeds, special medical needs, senior dogs, black dogs and other hard-to-place animals.
