My story

Hi I am Betty! Not only do I have the softest fur, I have beautiful white socks and the prettiest face. I was made for the movies. I am a little quieter than my two other siblings, but it does not stop me from having lots of play time and snuggle time with my fosters. I am a purr machine too. I am also quite polite if I do say so myself! I live with two adult cats, a smaller dog and older kids in my foster home. I would love to be adopted with my adventurous brother Elvis - we are buddies. But, if you had another kitty or adult cat at home who is lonely, I am sure we could be friends. Since we make a lifetime commitment to any animal that comes into our program, we only adopt out animals to people in our area..

If you are interested in adopting a CAWS cat or dog, please fill out the online application at http://www.caws.org/application/, email adopt@caws.org or call 328-4731. For the most timely response applying online is recommended.

We respond as quickly as possible but as we are a volunteer based organization and do not have full time staff, we respond as quickly as possible.

CAWS does not have a conventional shelter facility - all CAWS animals waiting for adoption are in foster homes. The number of animals we can help find new homes for is closely linked to how many CAWS foster homes are available. CAWS volunteers bring cats and dogs to the PetSmart near 2100 South and 300 West in South Salt Lake on the third and fourth weekends of each month

We are also at the Sugarhouse PETCO (1165 Wilmington Ave) the first Saturday of each month.
