Check out our sister brand, Kinship, for vet chat, a nutrition calculator, basic obedience training, and (much) more. So you're never flying solo in this pet parenting thing.
Jerry here - checking in from the foster home. My foster parents laugh because I try to divide my time equally between the humans so no one feels left out. They're giving me extra groceries because I need to put on some weight. I was living my best life as a stray on the mean streets of Las Vegas but regular meals were hard to come by. Since I was rescued, meal times are the best part! If you're a family looking for an adventure pug, Im there for you. Walks, rides, drive throughs, pick me!! I also like to play fetch with balls and toys. I will also just curl up in your lap and take a snooze. Personal space is a bit of a challenge....I LOVE people! Cuddle me is my favorite past time when I'm not adventuring. I think everyone needs a small smooch too. Nicely though - don't want to be too much of a weirdo..... Foster mom says I'm a velcro pug-I need to sit near you or on you and make sure you're ok and don't miss me! Im learning to potty outside and I sit very nicely for my animal cracker rewards. I now run to the door to let her know when I have to go outside but sometimes try to worm my way back in before I do my business so I can get my treat. I love meeting people and am very nice around other doggies - I got to go to "Pug Group" today and met lots of friends. It was a lot of fun! I don't know if I've ever met a kitty cat but foster mom says I'm very gentle and would probably do ok with a kitty friend. I do get a little barky when I want to play with the other doggies but I take correction very well and settle down after a short bit. If I'm really obnoxious, foster mom brings out the squirt bottle. I hate that and won't act up again - promise! Foster mom says I'm really starting to relax now that I'm getting settled in. She also reports that I take correction very well and don't try to run out the open door any more well most of the time. But I'm very sensitive and don't like to get yelled at or squirted with the water bottle. Note from the foster mom: Jerry (who we call Gary) is a really sweet boy. He never growls or gets mad at the other dogs even if they're being obnoxious. He doesn't care if you take his chewy away. He's just a wonderful little guy and will be a great addition to someone's home!

Additional adoption info
Thank you for your interest in adopting from Church of Pug.
Everyone at Church of Pug is a volunteer. We wear many hats - we foster pugs, travel to vet appointments, attend fundraising events, process a lot of paperwork, and more. We make every effort to respond to inquiries in a timely manner but often the days get away from us. For this reason, we will do our best to reach out to everyone. We’ll let you know your application has been received either through a phone call, text or email.
PLEASE take your time completing the below application and fill out questions in detail! This is the information our adoption team will use to make initial determinations when selecting applicants to proceed in the interview process as dogs become available and we begin the process of finding its forever family.
READ the information on each dog's biography page carefully. If you are interested in applying to adopt a dog, please ensure you meet the stated requirements. All of these dogs live with our foster families and that means we know their story -- we understand what they have been through and what they need in a forever home. All decisions are made with the dogs' best interests in mind.
