My personality

My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Blanche and her housemates came to us after their owner passed away…Rose(orange tabby) about 8 years old. Blanche(gray/white) about 4 years old. Jax, terrier mix about 8 years young.

Blanche is an affectionate and chatty fluff ball. This girl just wants to be the center of someones world. She loves attention and being with people but likes to take moments to herself!

Blanche has moments were she is shy, nervous and confused wondering what is happening but getting a little better each day. Rose will be fully vetted and we would love to see her in a home for Thanksgiving! Rose and Blanche do not have to go together.. they definitely don’t appear to be bonded and do argue a bit!

Blanche is current on all vaccines, spayed and microchipped. Given dewormer, flea/tick prevention and tested for FIV/FLV.

More about this shelter

The Orange County Animal Shelter is responsible for providing humane care to unwanted, lost or abandoned animals
The Orange County Animal Shelter provides safe haven and vet care for hundreds of animals of all ages and descriptions each year.
Happily, we have had great success promoting our animals on Petfinder, Petsmart adoption events and now with the help of Adopt-A-Pet. Dozens of animals have been adopted by people who have come from many other states. Would you like to join them? If so, please let us know! The greater our reach the more homes we will find for the animals in our care.
Although we are about 1.5 hours away from the Washington, D.C. metro area, it is an easy drive. You can even make a day of it and stop off at country stores, Civil War battlefield sites and a huge mall complex in Spotsylvania/Fredericksburg. And after all, what is a few hours in drive time when you will be meeting your new best friend? If you need help getting here, call us for directions
