Check out our sister brand, Kinship, for vet chat, a nutrition calculator, basic obedience training, and (much) more. So you're never flying solo in this pet parenting thing.
Vito is a brown tabby with white on his face and chest, a pink nose, and a permanent wink. Good Samaritins discovered him living in their barn and noticed that he was injured. They finally succeeded in trapping him and brought him to HART to begin a better chapter in his life. Here his injured eye was removed and we estimated this battered warrior is about 12 years old. We also learned he is diabetic and has chronic ear infections. We are working to control his blood sugar with insulin twice a day and a wet food only diet of Fancy Feast pate. Our medical staff will be glad to discuss his medical needs with interested adopters; and Vito's adopters will need to have an established relationship with a veterinarian.
At the moment Vito is recuperating nicely and learning all the reasons to enjoy human company while living in a private condo. He has an uncoming appointment with the dentist. Vito is quite shy; but his accommodations must seem luxurious to him and he is relaxing more with our volunteers. If you'd like to meet Vito and help him turn over a new leaf please complete an online adoption application.
