My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Daisy, aka Mama or Mama Daisy, came to us from the Barstow area as a stray and had 5 puppies in tow. They were around 3 months at that point. Little did we know she was already pregnant again. She had to only be a week or two along. It was quite a surprise when she started getting bigger and showing signs she was pregnant. This poor girl has already had at least 2 litters. She is a great mom but it is time for her to be retired as a mama.
We are estimating her to be between 2 and 3 years old. Will confirm when she goes to the vet to be spayed. She is 45 to 50lbs and will not get any bigger. She does have a calmer side but is still energetic as well. We believe she did have an owner at one time because she is leashed trained and has some house training. She will need some refresher training at her new home however. She has been an outside dog with us.
She is super sweet and loving. She is super excited to see you when you come home. She does jump up so they will likely need to be trained out. She loves to cuddle. She is persistent and determined to be a lap dog. She is the small dog complex (she thinks she's a small lap dog haha). She would love to find her fur-ever home. Please message us if you have any questions.

More about this rescue

Hooks Homebound Rescue Inc. saving pets and their owners, one whisker at a time -- our mission is to assist pets in need of a forever home, particularly those with special needs, through sheltering, adoption, educational and community outreach programs.

We are a small non-profit animal rescue based in Southern California. We are in the process of rebuilding our rescue after the founder and original president was caught doing some not so good things. Its been a tough road and a constant battle but we still fight to do what's best for our animals. Humans are the voice for these precious fur-babies and we have to be the best we can for them. If we do not, who will? They are innocent creatures that just want love and shelter.
If you are not interested in one of our babies, please consider donating to our rescue and help us rebuild. Everything that is donated to the rescue is used directly for the rescue.
