Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Flash! He may not have gotten his name from his rate of speed, enthusiasm, or agility; we reckon he might’ve earned that title way back when. Now, he’s about 11 years old, and a true lazy bones, if you will. Weighing in at approximately 24 pounds or so, he’s the perfect size to snuggle up on the sofa, all day, every day, and perhaps some walks every once in a blue moon. Otherwise, he’s happy just to be your couch potato side kick, sun bathing cat-dog, and shotgun rider. Flash came to us as apart of a breeder relinquishment, and what we know about him is limited other than his age, and what we see with him, even adjusting into such an unknown environment. Despite his age, he’s adjusting very well, but we know he’d adjust a whole lot better into most homes, even apartments! He’s a quiet guy, never so much as making a sound, which is highly impressive considering shiba’s typically have that shiba-tude! But not Flash, he’d rather watch you endearingly as you perform your daily tasks, and then sigh contentedly whenever you sit down next to him, and give him alllll the love! Flash gets along well with other dogs, cats, and doesn’t mind kids that aren’t overly pushy.

More about this shelter
We are a non-profit organization out of Monticello, IA specializing in the care for dogs and cats that need us. Our care does not stay local, as we take transports from all over the United States, and adopt all over as well!
Our mission's primary focus is to help reduce the homeless pet population by finding homes for spayed/neutered pets, and helping educate WHY this process is so important, and the proper way to care for pets!
