Zeus is an adorable, loving, playful, and talkative cat. He was owner-surrendered through no fault of his own, but luckily found his way back to his original foster parents. He does not realize how big he is (20 pounds to be exact) and is very gentle with both the kitten (Lila SAPA-A-200958) and cat his age (Atzi SAPA-A-200834) he is being fostered with. He loves cuddling with humans and other cats alike and laying on heating pads to decompress. He likes to chase the other cats around or play with cat wand toys. He is very friendly and adores human attention, he will even pat your arm gently when he wants you to pet him. My favorite thing he does is he lays on his stomach with his hind legs stretched out behind him. Because he is so used to other cats and can get lonely if left alone, he would do best being either adopted with one of his foster siblings (Atzi or Lila) or into a home with a friendly cat that won’t be intimidated by his size. He has been around other cats his whole life and is wary of dogs, but could become accustomed to a smaller dog if given enough time and proper introductions.

Our mission is to provide the programs and services needed to eliminate the killing of at-risk animals due to lack of space, adopter or foster.
San Antonio Pets Alive! is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization. Due to alarming euthanasia rates, San Antonio Pets Alive! (SAPA!) was founded in 2012. SAPA! is unique—it is the only high paced, high-volume rescue in San Antonio, saving 6,000 at-risk cats and dogs annually.
Since its inception, SAPA! has saved more than 47,000 dogs and cats. SAPA! provides safety nets for the dogs and cats that fall through the cracks of all other lifesaving options and end up on the euthanasia lists, often with just hours to be saved. SAPA! promotes the availability of these dogs and cats to other rescues, adopters and fosters.
