Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Selma, the most gentlest, sweetest little girl, EVER. One of the lucky pups who got to enjoy the life in foster, spending her all the time cuddling, playing, and taking her long puppy naps. Selma has also learned ALL of the basics in foster,AND knows all basic commands! Nothing gets better than a snuggly, AND smart pooch! With eyes & ears that catch the attention of anyone and everyone, her amazing personality does, too! She is quite the goofball, and enjoys prancing around with a toy in her mouth like she's the coolest, ever! That is, unless she's getting a beloved neck scratch- she will take one of those over ANYTHING else. She only gets better, too! Selma is quite the content pup, given a bone, or object to gnaw on- she's happier than can be; she LOVES going for walks, stealing spots on the couch, and even more so- giving kisses. She is by far the biggest kisser to date, and the biggest chump for some lovin's. Selma is hesitant with strangers at first, but given just a few moments; and she learns to trust you - her love is beyond worth it. At about
2 years old, and about 45 pounds; she is the perfect size, too!

More about this shelter
We are a non-profit organization out of Monticello, IA specializing in the care for dogs and cats that need us. Our care does not stay local, as we take transports from all over the United States, and adopt all over as well!
Our mission's primary focus is to help reduce the homeless pet population by finding homes for spayed/neutered pets, and helping educate WHY this process is so important, and the proper way to care for pets!
