My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

If you follow our Instagram, you may recall a dog named “Gravy” by shelter workers in western North Carolina. We felt he needed a better name so we are pleased to introduce Marshall. Since arriving from his freedom ride from the mountains, this fabulous dog has blended right in to his foster home seamlessly. While he appears to be a lab mix, it is hard to know his total genetic makeup up. But he is on the petite side for a lab, weighing just over 50 pounds. One thing is very clear about his genetics- he has a strong love gene! He is such a loving soul and he has a HUGE heart. He loves everyone. He would make a fantastic therapy dog and would calmly sit at his person’s side all day if needed. He loves deeply and will bond to anyone who pays him attention. He is very smart and has learned the routine in his foster home quickly. He sleeps quietly all night in his crate (but also loves his dog bed) and is doing great with his house training. He appears to be about one year of age.

He enjoys nature walks and is excellent on his leash. He is great with other dogs and while he enjoys playing, he is most interested in just being someone’s best friend. He is calm and loving and just happy being pet and loved. He is such a joyful dog- so happy and fun to be around. He’s great in the car and enjoys going on errands. He’s a beautiful boy with such a great personality/ temperament. We adore him.
