My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

This dilute calico girl is Stella. She was born in late 2022. According to information her rescuer learned from neighbors, her owner was an older person who either passed away or had to go to a nursing home and apparently the cat was turned out of the apartment when the person left. The rescuer started feeding Stella and noticed she had a wound on her nose. She sought veterinary care for Stella and explained that she was unable to keep Stella as she already had a cat that does not like other cats. While being treated at the vet, Stella tested positive for FIV. FIV is an auto-immune disorder that is spread through deep bites. FIV cannot be transmitted to people or dogs. As long as cats do not engage in vicious fighting behavior, FIV cats can live with non-FIV cats in the same household. Stella is very curious and very much a social butterfly. She enjoys being with people. She is currently in foster care with a LIFE House foster mom.
