My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Ellie and Izzy, our delightful sisters, were born with a condition called microphthalmia, which means their eyes were very small and non-functional. They've been blind their entire lives. To prevent any future infections and reduce the risk of cancer, the Humane Society of Mason County removed their tiny eyes.

Despite their condition, both Izzy and Ellie are incredibly friendly and sweet. Izzy, the social butterfly, loves attention and belly rubs, while Ellie, though a bit more reserved, also enjoys cuddles and affection. These two would thrive in a home where they can be spoiled and treated like the queens they are. 🐾💖

Are you ready to give Ellie and Izzy the loving home they deserve? 🌟✨

Go meet their pets

Our pets are currently in foster homes as well as we have a program with the local women's prison. With the prison the animals live in the room with the inmate handler and receive socialization and training. We have just recently added dogs to our program with the prison. Generally the pets are brought to our office for their meet and greets and adoptions. We also partner with Ziggy's Cat Lounge in Bremerton for our cats and kittens.

More about this rescue

We are a small but mighty Humane Society serving an underserved county with adoption, spay and neuter, wellness, stray recovery, and other animal related services. Currently we are all foster as we don't have a shelter yet, but we have a 5 acre parcel we are going to build a shelter on. We have started the planning process with Shelter Planners of America.
