My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

How this pet arrived:
This pet was brought in by our Humane Law Enforcement team.

Why this pet is the one for you:
Nova is a classy, elegant looking dog - look at her nicely crossed paws in her photo. However, she is still in youth stage and not ready for being a classy, elegant lady. She will need additional training for that to happen. We can help you with training tips and resources to help her become a classy lady. Her soft and kind personality shines through as she is easy to leash and taken for walks. She's full of potential and eager to be a loyal companion. Whether you're looking for a new best friend to cuddle with or an adventurous partner for walks, Nova can bring joy and love into your life. Give her the chance she deserves and watch her blossom as a new addition to your family! Come meet Nova at our San Diego campus, don't forget to bring a leash and collar because you two might go home together.

At SDHS:
Nova has been vaccinated, microchipped, spayed/neutered and is now ready for their new home!

More about this shelter

San Diego Humane Society, an open-admission shelter, is creating a more humane world by inspiring compassion and advancing the welfare of animals and people. Our lifesaving safety net has helped San Diego become the largest city in the U.S. to keep healthy and treatable shelter animals from being euthanized. We are a private, independent, nonprofit organization that is not affiliated with any other humane society or society for the prevention of cruelty to animals.

With campuses in El Cajon, Escondido, Oceanside, Ramona and San Diego, we provide animal services for 14 cities within San Diego County. We not only care for 50,000 animals in our communities but also share the expertise we have gained through our innovative programs with shelters nationwide so they can save more lives in their communities.

While our influence is expanding nationally, our top priority is meeting the needs of San Diego. We provide exceptional care for all animals through world-class veterinary medicine, shelter and most of all: love.
