My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hidy do! I'm Lovely Laelia! I added the "lovely" part to my name! I am really just Laelia! I was rescued from a difficult situation by a kind Humane Deputy. He had been alerted to our situation and he came to check on us. Well I am sure glad he did! Me and another dog about my same size were in a wire crate together in the blazing sun with no food or water. Also it was so tight in the crate we couldn't even turn around. He put us in his truck and brought us to the safety of the shelter. Whew! I don't know how much longer we could have survived in that heat! Anyway I am up for adoption now and I am very excited to meet some new folks! I am about a year old. I have all of my vaccinations, I am heartworm negative, I have a microchip, and I have been spayed. I have lived with other dogs, so if you already have a "furry" friend, but he or she needs a companion, well come meet me! I bet we would get along "famously!"

Additional adoption info

The placement of our adoptable animals into loving, caring homes and thereby enhancing the bond between animals and people is the primary goal of the Montgomery Humane Society Adoption Program. We focus on education so that every pet owner benefits from their contact with the shelter, whether or not they adopt an animal from us. Matching the needs of the animal and the potential owner, as well as educating potential owners about responsible pet ownership, helps to ensure successful pet placements of shelter animals.
