Here's what the humans have to say about me:
ABOUT CHRIS
Calling all retriever-lovers, meet Chris! He is a 1-year-old retriever mix with lots of love to give! Chris came to HAP from a high-intake shelter when they no longer had space for him. Despite being at the shelter, he is one ball of life and just happy to be with people. Chris loves everyone he meets, including other dogs too! When he's not soaking up loves from his friends, he can usually be found exploring outside on a walk or zooming around our fenced fields. Chris loves to play with toys and chase after a tennis ball. He already knows basic commands and appears house-trained. We are working on his leash manners, as he can get really excited when he sees friends on a walk. Due to his affectionate, playful personality, Chris would thrive in a home with other dogs or children!
If you are interested in adopting this dog, please submit an adoption questionnaire! Our adoption process is on a first-come, best-match basis and we are not able to hold animals. If you are interested in this specific dog but it ends up not being the best fit upon meeting, our adoption counselors will work with you to help find a match! All household members, including children and other dogs, must come along for the meeting to make sure it's a good fit. If a match is made, we encourage same-day adoptions! Our adoption fees include the animals' spay/neuter, microchip, age-appropriate vaccinations and preventatives, fecal testing, heartworm testing, and a small bag of food to get you started.
