THRIVING IN FOSTER! LOVES DOGS AND EVERY PERSON HE MEETS!
This two-year-old, 60-pound happy-go-lucky hound mix has so much to offer and can't wait for you to welcome him home!
After struggling in the kennel environment, Skipper is currently loving life in his foster home where his mom just raves about him! In addition to being house-trained and crate-trained, Skipper loves other pups and kids! He enjoys playing with his fur sister and they have the best time together! While he does tend to chase cats, his previous fosters felt like he could live in a home with a dog-savvy feline.
A pup who enjoys being out and about, Skipper is always up for some playtime in the yard! He is very food-motivated which will be an excellent tool when training him. He knows sit, has excellent eye contact, and takes his treats gently. Skipper has yet to find a toy he doesn't like. His foster mom is able to take food/toys away with no problem.
He's just an all-around playful pup who is eager to be part of your family!
Not only is he very endearing, he behaves well in the car, and loves meeting all sorts of new friends. He also walks nicely on a leash! He really is quite the catch! Skipper will benefit from continued training and daily exercise in his new home. A large yard for him to run in is a must for this spirited pup. If you're looking for a pal to accompany you on all of your adventures, don't wait another moment to come meet Skipper!
Based on our evaluation, we feel Skipper would do well in an active home with adults or families with kids ages five and up. We feel he has the ability to live with other animals of a similar energy level. We are happy to do a meet and greet with your family fur baby.
