My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

This sweet little spunky girl with the tortoise shell coat and beautiful little mustache is named Frida. She is extremely playful and equally cuddly. She loves to play with her toys and fellow kitty roommates for hours on end and then will cuddle up in your arms or on your chest for some love and a long nap. She starts to purr almost immediately when she’s in your arms.
Frida was found by herself by a KR volunteer and her resilience and intelligence that kept her alive is evident. It doesn't take her long to figure things out and her courageous tortitude spirit means she’s always up for new adventures and a little bit of mischief. Though she may be cautious in new environments and situations, she has a strong kitten curiosity and loves exploring her surroundings and finding anything to play with. She was very sweet right from the start, making biscuits as a way to calm her nerves. She warmed up very quickly and loves her human foster parents and her kitty foster siblings.

Frida was born with a sternum abnormality in her xyphoid process that does not impact her health or limit her in any way. It just means her bones were formed a little differently than what's considered normal. She is perfectly imperfect and her future forever family will be so lucky to have such a special and sweet loving girl.

More about this rescue

Kitten Rescue is a non-profit, volunteer-run organization devoted to finding loving homes for unwanted, homeless cats and kittens. We rescue cats and kittens from the streets of Los Angeles and from City Shelter euthanasia. Since our start in 1997, we have grown into one of the largest, most well-respected animal welfare groups in LA.

Kitten Rescue volunteers adopt out over 2,000 cats and kittens into homes every year. We educate the public about responsible pet guardianship, how to care for kittens and cats, and the importance of spaying and neutering. Kitten Rescue makes educational material available via events, print, school presentations and here on our website. We also provide Trap-Neuter-Return (TNR) assistance for communities in and around Los Angeles, and teach people how to manage and care for feral cat colonies.
