ABOUT BENJI
Looking for a goofy, big boy?! Meet Benji! This ball of energy is a 4-year-old bully mix with loads of personality, who is always down to have some fun! Benji came to HAP when his owners could no longer care for him. He has lived well with another dog and older children previously. While he was a little anxious his first few weeks at the shelter, Benji has become quite the staff favorite as he settled in. He greets everyone he meets with a big hug and smooch, as he loves being with people. Not to worry about his size though, as this guy is super food-motivated and easily redirected into keeping his paws on the floor. Benji already appears house-trained and we are working on his leash skills. His favorite thing by far is getting his zoomies out in our fenced fields, he even tosses toys for himself!
If you are interested in adopting this dog, please submit an adoption questionnaire! Our adoption process is on a first-come, best-match basis and we are not able to hold animals. If you are interested in this specific dog but it ends up not being the best fit upon meeting, our adoption counselors will work with you to help find a match! All household members, including children and other dogs, must come along for the meeting to make sure it's a good fit. If a match is made, we encourage same-day adoptions! Our adoption fees include the animals' spay/neuter, microchip, age-appropriate vaccinations and preventatives, fecal testing, heartworm testing, and a small bag of food to get you started.
