My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Frodo, an 8-year-old miniature Poodle mix with a calm demeanor and a heart full of love! Weighing 18 pounds, Frodo came to CAMO from another shelter and is ready to find his forever home.

Frodo has cataracts in both eyes but still sees well enough to get around confidently-he doesn't let it slow him down! He is heartworm positive but has already received his ProHeart-12 injection and is currently undergoing treatment. He'll need a recheck in six months to ensure he's on the path to full recovery.

This sweet boy loves hanging out with his people, spending time outside, and enjoying quiet moments. Frodo is very food-motivated, making him a joy to train. He does well with other dogs who match his calm temperament and respect his personal space.

Frodo would thrive in a relaxed, laid-back home where he can be showered with love and attention. If you're looking for a gentle companion, Frodo is ready to meet you and be your new best friend!

Adoption fee is: $300

More about this rescue

CAMO Rescue is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that offers life, health, and a forever home. We specialize in dogs that other rescues can’t or won’t take due to fearful nature or medical needs. We primarily rescue ‘euthanasia listed’ animals that are in immediate danger of death. We provide shots, spay/neuter, microchip, foster homes, food, medical treatment and love to dogs that are abandoned, unwanted or otherwise in need. We never euthanize an animal to make room for another. In addition to caring for our dogs and finding the best possible home for them, we provide education to the community; encouraging and promoting responsible pet ownership. If needed, our rescue dogs are retrained to socialize in an adoptive loving family. We have had phenomenal success, and amazing support from our community. We believe that animals, as living creatures are entitled to a quality life, respect and compassion. Since humans have domesticated animals, we have a moral and ethical responsibility to care for them. We are partnered with many Shelters to help them reach the same goal.
