Check out our sister brand, Kinship, for vet chat, a nutrition calculator, basic obedience training, and (much) more. So you're never flying solo in this pet parenting thing.
If you see pets listed by a private owner, it means that they’re adoptable through Adopt a Pet’s Rehome program – the safe and reliable way to find a loving new home for your pet.
Kirby is a 5 year old, 30lb corgi dachshund mix. Kirby is a mild mannered sweet little dog. His can be quite nervous when it comes to new people and new environments but given time to adjust he will be a loving and loyal adventure buddy. He is not high energy, he would lay on the couch chewing his bones all day if you let him, but he is always excited for an adventure. He loves to go on walks, hikes and play in the water.
Kirby has been around other dogs and does well, he has not been around cats but I believe he would be fine and not be aggressive towards them. Kirby has also been around older children and is nervous at first but as long as they respect his space, he will eventually warm up to them as well. Kirby does not do well with small children such as infants and toddlers. Because babies are loud and unpredictable he resorts to snapping out of fear. For this reason we believe he would do well in a home with no small children.
