My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hello there, I`m Paco! I`m a lively soul, always up for a game of fetch or a good run around. My energy is infectious, I`ve been told, and I love nothing more than sharing my joy with others. I`m quite the comedian too, always ready to lighten up any mood with my playful antics. But don`t worry, I also know when it`s time to settle down and enjoy a good cuddle. I`m looking for a forever home where I can share my boundless energy and happiness.

Their adoption process

Additional adoption info

The LA/SPCA pet adoption process includes meeting with a matchmaker to match your lifestyle with the perfect companion. You will spend time with any of the pets you think would be a great companion. You may even want to come back another day to make sure he is the one! All of our animals must be spayed or neutered before you can take them home. Sometimes your perfect companion has not had this procedure done, so please be patient with us if you have to come back to pick him up.

All of our animals have been spayed or neutered before they are released for adoption. We encourage anyone with animals to spay or neuter their pets.

More about this shelter

Chartered in 1888, the Louisiana Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (LA/SPCA) is the oldest and most comprehensive animal welfare organization in the state. Our mission is to advocate for the animals of Louisiana by advancing their welfare, promoting their interests, and fostering the human-animal bond through innovative programs, education, and service.

The LA/SPCA is not a state, parish or city governed shelter. We are an independent 501(c)3 non-profit offering a broad range of services and programs including advocacy, legislative services, statewide cruelty investigations, sheltering, full-service animal control (Orleans Parish only), adoption, disaster response, education, and obedience programs.
