Here's what the humans have to say about me:
URGENT Courtesy Post: Owner Surrender/Rehoming- Romulus, MI
Meet Zeke! He is an 4 year old Australian Shepherd and weighs 55 lbs. He is neutered, microchipped, up to date on shots, and on heartworm prevention. Zeke is good with farm animals and other dogs! No children or cats, due to his reactivity!
Zeke bit the owner’s neighbor on the hand in 2021 after they tried to let him out. He recently bit the owner after walking into the house to take his son to the car. Zeke bit the owner’s wife while she was trying to lock him in a room. He also bit the owner’s father-in-law on the hand while he was going after the cat. He is on 100mg twice a day for his anxiety. The owner is surrendering him because he is jealous of their young son. He needs to go by 12/31!
If you think you can provide a great home for Zeke, please contact the owner listed below. There is a $150 rehoming fee to assure good folks with good intentions. This fee will be donated to Australian Shepherds Furever for their assistance in placing Zeke.

More about this rescue
Nancy Gonzalez, founder and CEO, created Australian Shepherds Furever (ASF), a non-profit organization to promote the educated adoption and rescue of the Australian Shepherd (Aussie) dog breed.
In July of 2012, ASF initiated as a Facebook page hoping to have 1,000 user "likes" by the end one year. The page quickly outgrew expectations, now with a network of nearly 27,000 individuals striving to provide aid and refuge to Aussies all over the country.
Using the Facebook page as a platform, the website www.australianshepherdsfurever.org was developed as an additional resource aimed at educating the public on this intelligent and beautiful breed. It provides resources for those seeking help, or those willing to contribute to the Adopt, Save, Foster (ASF) philosophy. Through this philosophy, ASF has saved the lives of countless dogs and helped to provide assistance to those that have nowhere else to turn.
We as humans have a responsibility to speak up and take action in favor of those beings that are less fortunate. Thanks to a team of passionate and proactive volunteers, Aussies nationwide are given a chance at a better life through Australian Shepherds Furever.
