Check out our sister brand, Kinship, for vet chat, a nutrition calculator, basic obedience training, and (much) more. So you're never flying solo in this pet parenting thing.
Willy Nilly is a handsome Beagle mix breed whose estimated DOB is 12/25/2024 and on 11/20/2024 he weighed 34 pounds. He came to us heartworm positive and is undergoing treatment. His activity will need to be restricted, and he will have to be walked only on a leash until 1/4/2025. This little guy is just as sweet as he can be. If you are looking for a lap-warmer for this winter, look no further. Willy Nilly loves to be scratched at the base of his tail and does a funny little wiggle to show how much he likes it. He also loves to be close to his human for reassurance and snuggles after playtime. Come meet Willy Nilly today and warm your heart, home and lap by giving him the loving home he needs.
Our adoption fee is $125 for small breed dogs under 20 pounds and $100 for all other dogs and cats unless otherwise noted in their bio. Every pet available for adoption is current on shots spayed/neutered, and microchipped. You may submit an application online for pre-approval and to set an appointment or you can visit the shelter Wednesday - Sunday from 11am - 5pm. Please note that the kennels close for pet viewing at 4:30pm.

More about this shelter
The mission of the Humane Society of Pulaski County is to rescue, care for and find homes for abandoned, abused, homeless and unwanted animals; to reduce suffering of animals; and to reduce the number of homeless animals through adoption, spay/neuter, and through education.
The Humane Society of Pulaski County provides access to low-cost, healthy, inoculated, sterilized animals to people seeking to adopt animals as pets only. Adopters are screened to see if they can provide the basics of care for the animals, proper housing, and continued veterinary maintenance; and have no history of animal abuse or irresponsible ownership.
The Humane Society is a private no-kill shelter, supported solely by donations, fund-raisers, bequests and grants. We receive no city, county or state funding, nor are we affiliated with any other organization. We have been rescuing animals since 1946, and have been in our present building since 2000.
