My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Spud is a lovable big black and white kitty with an adventurous spirit and a friendly demeanor. Found abandoned at a campsite in Idaho, he’s proven to be an affectionate and charming companion. However, Spud’s heart belongs to the outdoors—he thrives when he can spread his toes in the fresh air. While he enjoys indoor comforts, too much time inside makes him feel cooped up. Spud would be happiest in a home where he can roam outside and come back inside for cuddles and care. He’s a special case, but with the right environment, Spud will be the friendliest and most loyal kitty you could ever ask for.

More about this rescue

Founded in 1990, Nuzzles and Co (formerly Friends of Animals Utah) was just a small group of animal lovers lobbying for a new shelter facility. Today, we are a full-fledged animal rescue and rehabilitation organization with an adoption center, dedicated staff and board of trustees, and a 15,000 sq. ft. facility that includes a full veterinary suite, indoor and outdoor training spaces, miles of hiking trails, and a community cat room with an attached "catio."
