Iris is a 10 pound petite little flower who has lots of love to give in a calm and caring home. She will bond very closely with “her person” and is a very sweet and affectionate luv bug. She is content to sit with/on you as long as you will have her. If she thinks you have more petting to give, she will use her tiny paw to show you how it’s done. She is still very shy with other people. She is approximately 5 years old and has spent all of her life in an extreme hoarding situation. She has been in her foster home for several weeks and is slowly starting to warm up to the other people in the home but it has taken some patience and work. Iris is very eager to please and is perfectly house trained……. not one accident. She walks well on a leash. She gets along with most small dogs. She is so deserving of a good home and with patience and love Iris will blossom into the happy, wonderful girl she was always meant to be.
Found by family members, left by hoarding owner after he was jailed. Poor pups living in squalor. We are so excited to see them thrive in loving, safe, clean homes.
All Dallas Dog adoptable pets are spayed or neutered, microchipped, and up to date on vaccines upon finalizing adoption. Puppies adopted under the age of five months require a spay/neuter contract, and all dogs are required to be spayed by six months unless otherwise medically noted. Our dogs are currently on heartworm preventative. Puppies receive 3 to 4 rounds of vaccinations depending on their age, and adults receive two rounds unless they've been with us longer than a year, in which case they receive the booster update. You can complete an application or view all the adoptable pets on our website at www.dallasdog.org/adopt. Upon receiving your application, please allow us 2-3 business days to review and process.
