Meet the Pet
Juniper is a joyful and playful one-year-old Doberman who weighs 50 pounds, with a bright mind and a heart full of love. She’s ready to find her forever home with someone who can guide her as she grows and thrives.
She settles well into her crate after play or training, enjoying a chew or enrichment toy. She likes having a crate cover but tends to pull blankets into her kennel, so they’re best avoided. She may chew bedding if bored, so keeping her mentally stimulated is key.
Juniper is reliably potty trained with no accidents in her foster home!
She rides well in a car kennel and is generally calm, although she may get a bit antsy in the backseat. A kennel ensures a comfortable ride for her.
Juniper pulls on the leash but is quick to respond to corrections. She’s highly food-motivated, which makes her a joy to train. She’ll thrive with continued leash training to refine her skills.
Juniper LOVES to play with other dogs! She has a classic, bouncy, and mouthy play style, so she’d be happiest with a dog who enjoys rough-and-tumble play. She’s social and energetic and loves having a playmate.
She’s met a few cats and approaches them calmly. Juniper’s more focused on playing with dogs but can live harmoniously with cats in her home.
Juniper has not been tested with young children but may not be ideal for homes with toddlers due to her exuberance. She’s still learning to manage her excitement and can be mouthy when overstimulated, especially during play.
Juniper knows sit, down, and place, and she’s ready to learn more! Her intelligence and eagerness to please make her a fast learner, especially with food and toys as motivation.
Juniper is an active, smart dog who loves to engage with her family. She enjoys both physical exercise and mental challenges, making her a fun companion for someone who loves to spend time training, playing, and adventuring.
Juniper has done well in her crate for up to six hours, though she was on medication at the time. She’ll need gradual adjustments if her new home requires extended alone time.
Juniper is a wonderful companion for someone who can provide her with consistent training and lots of love. She’s a bright, biddable dog who thrives in a structured environment and will repay you with affection and loyalty. She’ll do well in a home with another dog who enjoys playing or with a family who has the time to continue her training.
As Juniper adjusts to her new environment, she can be reactive to other dogs while on leash. This is something that can be easily worked on with ongoing training. She can also get a little mouthy when excited, especially during playtime, but with the right redirection, she will learn to manage her excitement.
If you’re looking for a smart, loving companion who’s ready to grow alongside you, Juniper is the perfect match. She’s waiting for her forever home—will it be yours?
