Peaches was adopted from Fuzzy Pawz Rescue many years ago and sadly her human is facing some health issues that are making it so Peaches needs a new home. Peaches is still living with her human at this time so this is a courtesy post at this time. If you would like to give Peaches a new home please email us and we will put you in touch with her human. rescue@fuzzypawzrescue.com
Peaches human wanted to you know this about her girl:
About Peaches (Purrsilla Peaches)
My cat Peaches was adopted from Fuzzy Pawz in 2014. At the time she was approximately 6 months old, maybe a little older. She had been found locked in an abandoned shed with missing kittens and an engorged milk supply. She has one broken tooth in the front, which was probably from trying to escape the shed she was left in. Peaches is now about 10+ years old. She is a tortoiseshell female with medium-length fur and beautiful markings. To me, it looks like she has the image of a black bird across her face. (The bird's head is at the top of her forehead, with wings stretched over her eyes). Peaches is in good health. She does have a bit of a sensitive stomach and throws up occasionally if she doesn't chew her dry food well enough. I feed her Blissful Belly sensitive stomach dry cat food which seems good for her. She sometimes will eat cat grass and loves to eat catnip. Even though she's older and sleeps most of the time, she's still pretty curious and likes to play. She is a one-person cat... she gets along with my family and is used to being around my grandkids, but she won't cuddle with them unless in a certain rare mood. She has let my grandson wrap her up like a burrito in a blanket a few times but doesn't like it much. When scared she's occasionally scratched the kids though not badly. Peaches has never bitten anyone. If people are noisy she stays to herself. She is wary of strangers and other animals. She is timid, but also loves attention and to be petted by her person. I'm a side sleeper, and she has slept on my hip every night for 10 years. She's an indoor-only cat, though she used to go outside to eat grass from the back yard then she'd come right back in. But the past 2 years she no longer wants to do that, after she was scared by another cat. She is currently unvaccinated because she stays indoors. Peaches lives with one other cat, they tolerate each other. Once in a while they have butted heads and swiped each other. She can be moody or irritable with other cats. I'm certain she would be very frightened of dogs. Peaches prefers a quiet home life. Her loyalty and affection seem to go to one person only. I've had no problems or issues with her hardly ever. She rarely messes with house plants or furniture. However she does like to knead on blankets. She loves milk, so if a bowl or cup of milk is left out she will get into it. She's been around several pet hamsters and never bothered them. She eats dry food well, and always uses the litter box. She keeps herself well groomed. She tolerates being brushed sometimes for short periods. She loves mostly to sleep and to watch out of the windows. She especially loves being warm.. she will frequently sleep on the heat vents on the floor, or on my electric blanket. She is afraid of loud noises, thunder and lightening make her hide under the bed. She occasionally eats wet food for a treat, maybe 2 or 3 times per week. Her main diet is dry food. She is overall a good cat. The reason I'm needing to find Peaches a home is because of my health. I have chronic pneumonitis and emphysema. I have to get things in order and do what is best for myself and her. I have no family or friends who can take her. I know it's a long shot finding her a home, but I have to try. The only other option for her is the shelter or to be put down if I get too sick to continue taking care of her. I want to be here for as long as possible for my grandkids. Peaches has been loyal to me through many hard times and some unpleasant living conditions. She has put up with a lot, and she is a sweetheart. I can provide food and litter for her. Also some toys, catnip, covered litterbox, brush, small cat perch, and a large carrier.

More about this rescue
We are a group of animal lovers banded together to rescue unwanted dogs and cats that are in shelters and pounds located throughout Idaho. Our non-profit rescue places each animal into our foster home program while we search for forever homes for them. We supply all vet care, food, toys, bedding; really anything they need while in our care.
We focus on those animals that are considered “hard to adopt” for various reasons; like kennel stress, having a black coat, being over 8 years old, etc. Often a foster home rather than a shelter environment helps give many of these animals a second chance at the life they deserve!
We relay on community donations and individuals willing to be foster care givers in order to continue our work.
