Wiley is a feral cat who came to us from the Austin City Pound. He is about 3 to 4 years old and is now neutered and current on shots. He has tested neg for feline leukemia/FIV. We are looking for a home where Wiley will be fed and given proper shelter as needed. Adoption fee is $80. You can go to mchs.rescuegroups.org to complete and submit our required adoption application. We will review and get in touch to set up a meeting time. You must be 21 to adopt from MCHS. Our address is 101 22 ST SE, Austin, MN. We are located off of I-90 via exit 180B to 218 SOUTH. We are just past our local airport. Thank You

For dogs, there is an application form that needs to be completed a few days ahead of time, before we are able to release an animal. We review applications to make sure there is a compatible fit between adoptive home and the characteristics of the animal. Adoption fees for dogs range from $95 to $150

Regular animal viewing hours are at the Shelter on Tuesdays from 4:30PM to 6PM, and Sundays from 2PM to 4PM. Other days/times can be arranaged by appointment.

The Mower County Humane Society is run entirely volunteers. The group strives to take in homeless and stray dogs and cats and place them into responsible, lifelong homes.
NOTE: The Shelter address does not register correctly on Google maps. Our Shelter is east of the Charter cable office in Austin MN. This is off of Hwy 218 south - our shelter is east of the highway just off the eastern tip of Oakland Avenue. The official address is 101 22nd Street SE
