Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Whitney is a beautiful 7 month old Shepherd mix pup. She may look big in her photos, however she only weighs about 24 pounds, and we don't expect her to grow much more.
Whitney can be shy at first, but is loving and affectionate once she gets to know her people. She is very smart, very loyal, and athletic. She loves to swim!
She is potty trained and crate trained at her foster home and is overall a quiet dog, except for barking when her foster gets home and barking when she is ready for dinner. She does okay on a leash, but could use more training. A fenced yard would be ideal for her, but an unfenced yard would be acceptable as long as her adopter is able to commit to additional leash training. She is extremely treat motivated.
Whitney's currently living with several dogs at her foster home, and she gets along well with all of them. She is also living with two older children, and while she loves to run and play with them in the yard, indoors they sometimes make her feel nervous. She would do best with older children, not young children.
She is spayed, has received a 12 month heartworm prevention injection, is up to date on vaccines, dewormed and microchipped, and she comes with her medical records and interstate health certificate from a veterinary examination prior to leaving Texas, which certifies her to be in good condition.
She is being fostered in Muskego, WI.
Her adoption fee is $500, which will be used to support the many animals in our care whose medical bills far surpass their much lower adoption fee.
