Poor Beau is seeking a new home after 5 years. He was adopted as a young puppy, born to a golden retriever mom and a boxer dad. Now, after 5 years in a home, he is being rehomed due to allergies.
Beau is a dream dog and a wonderful companion. His favorite activities includes going for a walk or hiking at one of the Wisconsin State Parks. His favorite is Devils Lake as he has been hiking there ever since he was a puppy. He enjoys going up and down stairs. When he is in the house, he likes looking out the window or sliding door to see what the squirrels or deer are up to. He is loyal and patient. He is very good listener and comes to you when you call him. He will do well with a family or a single person who is active. He loves to be included in whatever it is that you are doing, including mowing the lawn, gardening or running errands. He loves to play in the snow. He loves going to the dog park. On top of all of this Beau rarely barks. He is very calm and quiet and is housetrained and kennel trained.
Our rescue adopts to Wisconsin and Illinois. Our requirements for Illinois applications are: excellent vet history, no children under 7 in the home, and an owned home. Wisconsin does not have these requirements, though we will not consider applications where pets are missing core veterinary care.
Our process includes an approved application, reference checks, a homevisit, and once
approved a meet and greet with the dog. Adoption fee is $250.
