My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Blaze is a handsome 2-year-old. One blue eye and one brown eye. He likes to solve puzzles and enjoys the snuffle mats. He’s very food motivated and will jump high for a valued treat. He seems to chicken verse beef but he will eat both if offered. Extremely happy boy, also got his tag wagging and is always looks for something to do after all he is a boarder collie, he likes to stay busy. Come out and see Blaze in action!

The adoption fee is 350 + tax and covers age-appropriate vaccines, a microchip, and a spay/neuter.

Applications are typically worked in time stamp order based on date/time of submission.  If you have other dogs in your home, they must all meet the potential adoptee.  It may save you a trip to bring them with you when you visit, if you are certain you want to adopt a new family member.

*****We are currently operating by appointment only due to a shortage of personnel.   If you want to meet this pet, or are interested in adopting, please submit an inquiry or email to tchspapillion@gmail.com.  Someone from the rescue will contact you and/or your family and determine, on a broad level, whether you might be a fit for the animal.  If so, they will provide instructions for completing the application. Your application will be reviewed, and you will be contacted to set up a time to meet at the shelter or the foster home.   The introduction between you and the pet will be supervised by one of the dog counselors or the foster.   If all goes well, you can adopt during the same visit.

More about this rescue

We are a no kill shelter operating in Sarpy County, Nebraska, a suburb of Omaha. We re-home dogs, cats and small critters. We work with dogs that are typically on "death row" and take in dogs from kill shelters in KS, TX, MO and elsewhere, as needed. Our cats usually come from kill shelters with an occasional owner surrender under special circumstances. Critters are found a variety of ways.

We also provide boarding and grooming services at very reasonable rates.
