Dog's Name: Pup Valerie (VAL1224ALAFD)
Estimated Breed: Shepherd mix
Approximate Age: 4 months
Approximate Weight: 17 LBS
Currently Living at: Boarding
Adoption Fee: $500
DOG'S DESCRIPTION: Hi there, I'm Pup Valerie. I was rescued, along with my brother Pup Shaggy, by K-9 Lifesavers from an overcrowded shelter in Alabama. Because there have been so many recent changes in my life, I am a little shy at first. But don't worry, I warm up quickly, especially when there are other dogs around. I love playing with them. I am just a sweet and loving pup looking to find my forever home. Could that be with you? At my young age, I am in my prime for training and socialization too. I promise to be the best friend you've ever had. Adopting me would mean endless love, companionship, and a loyal friend. I can't wait to meet you!
Your new pet will require a refresher in house-training. K-9 Lifesavers strongly recommends all new adopters enroll their new pet into obedience training. This provides for an easier transition into a new home, ensures the dog remains well socialized, and helps form a bond between the dog and the new family.
Adoption fees cover basic vetting, spay/neuter surgery (at partner vet if not fixed before adoption), rabies, distemper/parvo vaccinations, treatment for worms, heartworm testing, monthly heartworm prevention and monthly flea/tick prevention (while the animal is in our care), and transport costs from high-kill shelter. Please note that on average, K-9 Lifesavers spend significantly more on each dog than their adoption fee. Adoption fee for HW positive dog also covers heartworm treatment at our partner vets.
