This is Lucky. He is around 6months old. He is a Jack Russel/Chihuahua mix. He came to me from a girl who got him at 6wks old & although loved him, did not have the time needed to have a puppy so she was going to surrender him to a kill shelter in Chattanooga which was the only shelter available at the time. I saw the potential in him & gave him a try with my parents but because they are in their late 80's & he is very much a puppy, it has been too much for them. He came to us not potty trained but is learning. He is a very smart and such a sweet tempered dog. He loves to snuggle & loves to play. In the 2cweeks they have had him he has learned to sit. Is learning, stay & is starting to get the potty training. I think he would do well with a family with kids & a yard to run around playing with him or even a single person who can give him the attention he needs as a puppy. He is crate trained. I would keep him but I have an elderly dog with a medical condition & knowing what a wonderful dog this animal is going to make someone, he deserves a forever home where he gets the attention he deserves.
PS....he loved a good bone to chew on and chasing a ball is his favorite toy. But don't be fooled, he is a anuggler.

Our dogs are currently in a foster homes which can answer your questions better than anyone else.
We promise our fosters that we will qualify all potential adopters before we ask them to communicate with potential adopters.

Our adoption fee is $300 which includes spay/neuter, DHPP, Bordetella, Rabies, HW check, and microchip.
Russell Rescue dogs are fostered in the Middle Tennessee area. We do not ship/transport our dogs, so the approved adopter must be willing to travel to Tennessee. Russell Rescue will try to first place our rescue dogs locally or in surrounding states.
Russell Rescue is not open to the public for visiting hours. We do not have a physical location of our own.
