My name is Dixie!

We inherited Dixie from my partner's mother who is now too old to care for her. We would love to keep Dixie however she has allergies that require her to have a perscription food diet, take weekly medicated shampoo baths, and may require cytopoint injection therapy for her allergies. Despite our best efforts we are unable to afford her treatments and have no choice but to find another family for her.
She is very sweet and playful but she still has a lot to learn. For example she still needs to learn not to pull on the leash, and not to bark at new people.
I would like to keep in touch with the family that choses to adopt her to make sure she will be ok as well as aid in her medical recovery with the history information I have about her. This is a high maintnence dog that needs training and medical needs.
I am setting her adoption price to 100 dollars because the person who wishes to adopt her has to have enough money to support her diet and hygene regime.
