My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Stefon is a 5 month old Bull Terrier. Our guy is vocal and makes cute little raspy low noises when he's excited! He sounds like a little happy piglet. He is very sweet and loves attention. He knows all the best clubs for the holidays!

Please do your research on this breed BEFORE applying to adopt. They are a special hard headed breed that aren't the best fit for every home. Although Stefon loves playing with his dog friends, I can already tell he's going to be an alpha. He would do best in a home with a submissive dog friend if any dogs. His foster has children and although he does fine, he would do best in a home with older children he will NOT be placed in a home with young children . He would also love a fenced in yard to run in but not a deal breaker for an active person or family. He is a puppy and on going training will be needed to make him the best dog he can be.

He is mostly potty & crate trained. Please allow 72 hours for us to respond back after your application has been submitted.

Our $275 adoption fee includes up-to-date vaccinations, heartworm testing and preventative, spay/neuter and microchip.

We are a 100% foster-based rescue and all of our dogs live in approved foster homes. We are dedicated to finding the best Forever Homes, and will perform home visits and conduct veterinarian and reference checks for each potential adopter.

Adopters will complete an Adoption Application which is sent to the dog's Foster Parent. Their personal & veterinarian references will be checked, a home visit conducted then the Foster Parent will set up a meeting where the Adopters will meet the dog. If the adoption is approved, the Adopter will then complete an Adoption Contract and the dog is theirs!

Adoption fees vary. Puppies are $250.00 and Adult Dogs range from $125.00 to $250.00.

Needy Paws Rescue, located in St. Louis, MO, is devoted to saving animals in need, whose lives are in danger at high kill animal shelters & animal controls, those who are strays, have been abandoned or whose family has faced an extreme emergency, regardless of their size or breed.

Our organization is made up of Volunteers who have been involved in various animal rescues in the St. Louis area and we plan to use our knowledge & experience to make a difference. We believe spaying & neutering is a very important step in keeping pets healthy & happy, plus it helps decrease overpopulation. All of our rescued animals will be spayed or neutered, they will be microchipped to ensure they are identifiable if lost or stolen and they will be current on all of their vaccinations before going to their Forever Homes.

We are foster-based and all pets stay in approved Foster Homes that have passed inspections, reference checks and are qualified to take care of our rescued animals while they wait for their Forever Family. We are dedicated to finding the best Forever Homes, and will be making home visits and conducting veterinarian checks & reference checks to ensure the pets will have a safe, loving, happy home. Forever Families will be taught how to care for their pet and learn how to get the most out of their relationship with their new family member. We also have an after-care specialist who will be in contact with the families after the adoption to see how well they're doing together
