Meet our newest sweetheart PEACH!!

We are still learning about this sweet girl, and so far we have found she is very shy but friendly with people. She loves pets and cuddles and may seem nervous at first, but once you pet her, she lets down her guard down. Her previous owners have stated that she can get very attached to people and can get jealous if she has to share her humans with other dogs or cats. Because of that she needs to be an only animal in the home.

More about this shelter

Our shelter had it's beginnings in the mid 90's and formally became a nonprofit organization in 2001. The dream of Lee and Sophia DiClemente has grown to be the largest no-kill animal shelter in New Mexico. Lee passed in 2010, but Sophia carries on with the support of a small staff, a large number of volunteers, and numerous donors - large and small.
