My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

If you want a cat who will run to the door the second she hears the key in the lock and who just wants to play and play, Tierney is the one for you.

She is obsessed with her fish rod toy, and even more obsessed with endlessly kicking a foam stressball in the shape of the brain all over the house like the soccer star she is.

Tierney is arguably the most boopable cat on the market and will press her face into you so she can be pet exactly as she would like.

She loves attention, and she loves to observe you no matter what you are doing. Cooking? Tierney wants to see. Doing work? She can assist. She also has a great appetite.

Tierney has a very dainty meow that is indistinguishable from a squeaky door hinge, and she is the silliest, clumsiest, and cutest companion.

Because of how much she loves to play, we think Tierney would thrive with another cat friend, or at least a human who will give her lots of attention.

Hyde Park Cats is a local, all volunteer group dedicated to helping stray and homeless cats in and around Chicago's Hyde Park. We received our 501©(3) status in 2014 and we were founded in 2008. See all our adoptable kitties on our webpage: http://hydeparkcats.org/adopt/

All of our cats are in loving foster homes, which means the cat or cats you adopt will be familiar with the sounds, smells and movements of life in a home and accustomed to living with humans. Our adoptable have been interacting on a daily basis with people who know this particular cat intimately, and the foster mom or dad can tell you all about the cat's individual personality, habits, preferences. You can't judge a cat by its cover! And while we can't predict the future or know everything about a cat, we can help you choose the cat who is right for you.

We have an adoption application and an adoption fee. This fee goes towards covering their vet costs. All cats adopted out by us are neutered/spayed, micro-chipped, tested for FIV/FeLV, and treated for fleas and worms.
