Meet Hazel: The Sweet Soul Who’s Ready for a Loving, Quiet Home
Say hello to Hazel, an 8-year-old Pitbull mix with a heart full of potential and a gentle spirit waiting to blossom. Hazel may start off a bit nervous, but with patience and kindness, you’ll discover a deeply loyal companion who will reward your love with unwavering devotion.
Hazel thrives in a peaceful environment, so she’s looking for a quiet home where she can feel secure and truly relax. She does wonderfully with other calm dogs, making her a great fit for a home with a relaxed canine companion or as the sole pet if you’re able to offer her all your love and attention.
While she may take a little time to warm up, Hazel’s tender nature and affectionate heart are worth every moment. Once she feels safe, she’ll become your faithful friend, sharing her sweet personality and gentle presence.
If you have a serene space in your home and the patience to help Hazel feel at ease, you’ll be rewarded with a loving and grateful furry friend. Come meet Hazel today and give this lovely lady the quiet, caring home she deserves.

Find the pet for you at the Adoption Center:
Angels of Assisi’s adoption center is open from 12-6pm, 7 days a week. Adoption Specialists and Volunteer Ambassadors are eager to help you find the pet that would fit best in your family.
Adoptable Pets in Foster Homes:
Some of our available pets are currently in foster homes. If an animal is currently in a foster home, it is noted in the animal's biography online. To meet a pet in foster care, please fill out a non-binding adoption application, and the foster parent will contact you to schedule a meet and greet once the application has been approved (generally within 24 hours).
Found the perfect addition to your family? Now what?
The next step is to fill out an adoption application. You can complete and application online (preferred) or stop by the adoption center to fill out a paper application. Adopters must be 18 years of age or older. If you rent your home, we will need to contact your landlord or see a copy of your lease to verify the pet policy. Most applications can be approved within 24-48 hours.
Taking Your New Pet Home
After paying the adoption fee and pending the approval of your application, you may take your new pet home immediately. Adoption fees may vary and can be found on our website at:
