My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

*** Marty  is currently located at our rescue in Georgia. He is scheduled to attend our adoption event at the Tractor Supply in Ringoes, NJ over the Dec 14-15 weekend. Questions about Marty  and/or our adoption policy should be sent to socorescue8@gmail.com; please do not call the rescue's phone number. An application for his adoption should be submitted at socorescue.com (no need to register or login).***

When he was about 5 months old, Marty  and his five brothers were found living in horrible conditions. They initially were under the care of another rescuer and we took them into our rescue once space became available.

If a dog could be labeled as the Class Clown, then Marty would more than earn that title. While he's a very intelligent dog, he's also a big goof-ball who loves to have fun! Marty would do best in a home with plenty of space outdoors for him to run and play. He's a very active dog that needs an active companion.

Marty  has been kept up to date on his annual vaccinations, de-wormings and monthly flea/tick and heartworm preventatives as well as being neutered. He did recently test negative for heartworms. He will need additional house and leash training. While Marty  has interacted with other dogs in the past, we'd require a "meet-and-greet" with any other dogs that he'd share the home with.
