Hi there! I'm Queenie, a very shy sweet little 9-pound Chiweenie , I’m 6 years old. My life didn’t start off so great—I came from a scary hoarding situation in Texas where I didn’t get much love or attention. I used to be really afraid of being touched or even walking on a leash. But guess what? I’ve come a long way! Now, I like being petted by my person after I get to know you, though I’m still very shy, so I need someone who will be patient with me while I continue to learn that the world isn’t so scary, and I will need a woman as my care person, I'm okay with a man but it takes a long time for me to trust him.
I love hanging out with other dogs, big or small, and playing with my friends is one of my favorite things! I haven’t met any cats yet, so I’m not sure what I think about them. After a good play session, you can find me chilling on the couch for a nice nap. I’m also housebroken, crate trained, spayed, micro chipped and up to date on my vaccines—pretty much the full package!
Because I’m still working on building my confidence, I’d feel safest in a home with a fully FENCED-IN YARD, another dog, and either older children or none at all. It might take me a little while to get to know you, but once I do, I’ll be your loyal little buddy.
My adoption fee is $300 and I’m being fostered near Coldwater, Michigan. I’m really hoping to find a family who can give me the love and patience I deserve. Questions about me? Please email projecthoperescue@gmail.com. Ready to bring me home? Fill out the adoption application by visiting our website at www.projecthoperescue.org. Will you be the one to help me feel at home?
