My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hi, my name is Bootsie! I am an 8-year old cat who loves to talk with anyone who will listen. At the shelter, I love to draw humans in with my big green eyes. Talk to me sweetly and I might even blink at you (that means I`m happy). My favorite item is my brush, all I need you to do is hold it up while I rub all over it. I do get a little overstimulated in the shelter and do not always show my best self to potential adopters at any given moment. Please do not let that deter you from taking me home though! Currently, I am in foster care to decompress and live a normal cat life. My foster caretaker says I am very sweet and calm in a home environment. I came out to eat and get attention right away.

If you are interested in meeting me, please reach out to the foster department at foster@spcacincinnati.org to schedule a meet n` greet so I know to be back at the shelter when you arrive!

To meet all of our adoptable animals, please come to SPCA Cincinnati (11900 Conrey Road) any day of the week from 12p-6p. We have the perfect companion waiting for you!

More about this shelter

In addition to being the official agency that oversees stray dog control in the community, spca cincinnati offers many programs and services, including animal adoptions, animal cruelty investigations, spay/neuter and veterinary services, companion animal and wildlife rescue, dog licensing, foster care program, obedience training, and the area’s most extensive humane education program. spca cincinnati also works to introduce animals into the lives of people in our community, including those in hospitals, nursing homes, children’s homes, and schools, and works with victims of domestic violence to both provide shelter for their animals, and to help them rehabilitate.
