Chai didn’t plan that he would end up at an animal shelter in his old age—but somehow he was a stray and that’s where he found himself! This sweet boy is a seven year old terrier mix and just the right medium size. He has lovely walking manners and gets along well with dogs and cats. He’d rather spend his golden years without any small children to pester him, but would love a warm lap to cuddle in!

People must come in for personal interview and complete adoption form. If renting, written permission from landlord is required. Adoption fee is $225. We require animals be returned to our facility if adoption does not work out. We require a signed agreement never to chain or crate an animal (crate exception for transport only). We DO NOT support crating! We follow up with phone call or home visit within first month. Adoptions are by appointment only. To schedule an appointment, call 231-944-6520. You must be 21 years or older to adopt.
