My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hang on!
Are you looking for a cat who has absolutely no understanding of your personal space?

Then Aperol is just the cat for you! Just kidding...sort of.

Aperol is a cat who loves to nuzzle as close as possible to your face, preferably while sitting on your chest as you recline. She will then proceed to rub against your chin, perhaps lick your nose, and then purr into your face from mere inches away. (If you have a beard or can borrow someone who does, even better.)  After she snuggles for a while she sometimes will fall into a deep sleep. Other times, she will let you know that this would be a great time to PLAY!
Estimated to be 8-9 years old, this lovely, funny, and surprisingly playful gal loves chase games like a much younger cat.  She loves running around and around, falling over and rolling with her belly in the air, willing to chase anything attached to a string or yarn or – dare we say it out loud – a shoe lace.

In foster care, Aperol has been an adaptive cat who easily makes herself at home in new situations. She also knows exactly what she likes. When it's not sunny enough outside for her to relax in a sunbath, snuggling on a person is her preferred mode of staying warm (though this can also be used to extort treats, which she also loves).

Despite a sad backstory and very serious face, Aperol has become a fun and sweet cat during her time in foster, but she’s ready to move on to a home and people she can call her own family. The biggest requirement for her new forever family is that they are required to tell her how pretty she is at least three times each and every day.  She would be a great cat for a newer owner, generally polite and comfy navigating a home setting with confidence. Consider bringing this refreshing little lady into your home as your prime snuggle companion.

If you're interested in meeting and hanging out with this sweet and funny gal and telling her exactly how pretty she is, just contact her foster!
