Please DO NOT call or email us; all information about current dogs available, adoption donations, vetting, and this specific dog are on our website.
We are a non-profit organization and we are completely 100% volunteer run.
We DO NOT have a shelter and only approved applicants can make appointments with our foster homes to meet the dogs we have.
Our volunteers will not discuss dogs we have available for adoption UNTIL you have an application on file and are approved to adopt.
General Notes | Want to adopt this dog? Please do not email us. Please fill out the Adoption Application ASAP.
Personality | Tadaaki loves attention and would be a great hiking pal as well as a bed snuggle buddy. She has been a great mom to her 11 puppies but she is ready be adopted so that she can be a fun, loving dog! She loves her squeaky toys and being outside on the back porch sitting in a comfy chair or on our swing bed. Foster mom shared she did jump up on her when she first arrived but they have been working with her and she has quickly learned, no jumping, with some correction. She's a smart dog and a quick learner. Just needs her human to be consistent with training and she picks it up and wants to please.
Like any dog that has been left to forage for their own food, she has found the recycling bin to have items the silly humans did not eat. But again, when corrected has realized food will be in the bowl and she doesn't need to try to find it on her own.
Some good exercise during the day and she will be your cuddle buddy.
Foster mom reports zero desire to try to jump the fence or figure a way out of the yard. Happy to be with people in a safe place.
She loves Pupperoni treats and some chicken jerky chews. (Food motivated makes training easier) She also steals toys and loves to take those outside. She's been fed Purina Pro Plan Sport Salmon (dry) and Purina Pro Plan Sport High Protein Beef wet.
Over all this gal is still really just a big lovable puppy.
Story | She and her 11 puppies were found as strays.
Other Dogs | she met some other rescues and did great.
Cats |
Children | she has not met them directly, but was not bothered by the kids next door jumping on the trampoline.
Training | She is house trained. But as all rescue dogs do, she needs to be shown where to go to tell their humans she need to go out. Once shown, she's got it.
Leash |good on a leash.
Activity Level She looks beautiful when she runs and once her hair (and boobs - 11 puppies!) are back to normal, she will look stunning. She is very smart (so are the puppies) and very curious. She is also good on a leash. She can get excited and be high energy but it's just from being so happy to see people. And calms easily.
Health Notes | she has some dermatitis but hair will grow back.
Thank you! |
Adoption Donations | Our adoption donations are $475 for dogs 8 weeks to 1 year, $425 for 1-6 years, $375 for dogs 7-10 years, and $250 for 11+ years of age. Purebred dogs regardless of age are $525. These minimum donations help to defer the costs of initial vet care, food, and supplies while in foster care that currently average over $700 per dog).
Meeting Dogs | Foster dogs may have meet & greets by appointment to approved applicants only. To become an approved applicant - please complete the application process.
Please know | Available dogs are updated as soon as possible and we do our best to keep it up-to-date, but occasionally dogs shown may become unavailable without notice due to a pending adoption.
We encourage you to put in an application even if you don't see your new family member currently, as once you are approved, we can place you on the waiting list for first priority on the selection of the dogs we do bring in. That means you can often meet a dog upon transport arrival and adopt before they even make it to this page!
We can not guarantee that a dog you wish to adopt is available by the time your adoption application is submitted, processed, and approved. Your application is good for 90 days from the time of approval for any dog as long as it is a good fit for your family and your lifestyle.
