My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Leo ! This sweet boy is about 5 years old and weighs 22 pounds. He is a laid back boy most of the time but loves a nice sniffari walk or playing with his toys but is a total shadow dog so if you love a snuggle he'll be there! He will follow you around and snuggle right up next to you to sleep-cute!

Leo's had some trauma in a past life and tragically lost his original person , but is working on becoming more comfortable and trusting and has some meds on board to help with this, just like a lot of us humans have had to do, because his trauma was big and he has had some times of struggle because of this-poor little man. But this generally very happy boy is very smart and already knows how to sit on command and come to his name! He is also housebroken and not really a barker which is nice...with the exception of mealtimes when he howls with gleeful anticipation for you to put that kibble in his bowl!

Here are a couple other notes on the PAWfect home for Leo:

Leo is currently in a foster with other dogs but we think could also be cool being the only dog in a home and getting all the loves
As with a lot of rescue pups, Leo needs someone who will be patient as he continues to work through his traumas and work on his trust so he may need to be on meds for a long time, if not for life
We think little Leo would do best in a home where there are not any young kids.
We do think Leo could be good in an apartment as long as he is taken out for walks and activities
Leo does like to be moderately active but he does LOVE a good snuggle session!!!
