Meet Norman, a young, sweet, and somewhat shy guy. He`s can be quite a silly guy, but can be a bit anxious at times. He may jump up in times of excitement or when greeting people, but with continue positive reinforcement he hopes to cue this behavior. Norman is a quick learner, especially when treats are involved. He`s a smart guy who thrives on enrichment activities that challenge his mind and loves going out for sniffy walks. Norman`s loveable personality shines through his shyness, and with some patience and love, he`ll soon become your best friend. Adopting Norman would not only give him a loving home, but also add a bundle of joy to your life.

We have a simple adoption application and approval process. Our adoption fees vary by animal, but generally include neutering, age appropriate vaccinations, behavior and health assessments, and health insurance. In addition, all adopters have free access to our Adopter Support program for assistance with health or behavior issues that may arise.

Michigan Humane is the oldest and largest animal welfare organization in Michigan, taking in approximately 35,000 animals per year. We have four animal care centers in the Metro area including locations in Detroit, Westland, Rochester Hills and Howell, as well as cat adoption centers in PetSmart stores in several locations and an adoption center at Petco in Sterling Heights.
